Characterise by febrile arthralgia
Appearance of symptoms within 2-12 days from exposer of the infection

Symptoms-
#fever->102ยฐf+
#arthritis
#maculopapular rash on upper trunk n face
#lymphopenia

Investigation

Routine
*WBC decrease
*Lymphopenia
*ESR increase
*CRP,raised for a week
*Sgpt increase

RT PCR detects viral RNA within 5 days (usefull in acute phase)

Detection of IgM antibodies in 2nd week from onset of illnes

Demonstration of IgG Ab after 3 weeks
( In chronic phase)

Rx-
Paracetamol + Tramadol
Cold compression for joint pain .There is no indication of DMARDs before 8 weeks
Hydration 5% dns or ns
Antihistamine for itching
Antibiotics for secondary infection
calamine lotion for rash

Avoid - aspirin n nsaid to reduced
Risk of bleeding


Need of hospitalization in
*decreased urine output
* Intractible pain
*Postural dizziness
*Bleeding manifestation
*Repeted vomiting
*CNS cardiac hepatic renal causes
Increased risk due to CKD CVD CLD dm pregnancy
