Caused by deposition of uric acid crystals and uşually

associated with hyperuricemia.
Usually begins as an intermittent, acute onarthritis, especially
of the first metatarsophalangeal
Over time, attack becomes more frequent, less intense, and
involve more joints
Diagnosed by demonstrations include tophi and renel stones.
